Sue & Emrys

Sue and Emrys Jones began their love affair with the Arabian horse in 1966 when they began to breed some very successful part-breds. They bought their first pure bred from Lady Moyne in 1971 and developed the stud rapidly. Many successes followed including those of Aurabba, Aukubra (World Champion 1990), Shahpoor, Al Hakkim and Ali Khan (Reserve European Champion). More internationally renowned stallions followed such as Orashaan, Maysoun and Emiratus B.

The purchase of Psynergy continued to move the stud forward as he has not only won the British International title but equally important, he was been leading sire of the British Nationals in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and also leading sire of the UK 2006 and 2007. Rhodri’s purchase of Master Design GA at Scottsdale in 2004 has led to many international wins and a fight for leading sire between the two home based stallions in 2008 – he was named as leading sire of the British Nationals so let’s see!

The stud’s most recent addition to the breeding programme is the straight Egyptian colt MVA Colour Me Cool. He is a winner at the US Egyptian Event and was Champion at the UK Egyptian Event, and he became World Top Ten Junior colt at Paris in 2008.

Little do people know, that Emrys crafts the most exquisite children's rocking horses. It is obvious from his beautiful work that the Arabian horse is the 'muse' for his breath-taking creations!
